Mrs. Adam B. Anders, age 79 years, succumbed at her home in Dodson Thursday night, October 17, 1935, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon by the Rev. W. T. Strain of Simsboro, former pastor of the Dodson Baptist Church and a friend for many years of the family.  Interment was in Transport Cemetery in Jackson (Winn) Parish.

Pallbearers were G. W. Price, L. L. Lee, W. D. Temple, Cordell Gaar, Thos. E. Ware, B. F. Temple, and A. L. Mixon.

Miss Amanda Eugene Terrel was born in Jasper County, Miss., on February 18th, 1856.  She became the bride of Adam B. Anders on January 11, 1877.  To this union were born eight children, three of whom survive.  They are Miss Vilia Anders, Mrs. G. C. Moore, of Dodson; George D. Anders of Effie, La.  Others surviving are two brothers, J. R. and W. B. Terrel, of Dodson, besides numerous other relatives and friends.

At an early age in life she became a member of the Baptist denomination and ever lived in the faith and belief.

"Aunt Gene", as she was kindly referred to by her host of friends in the Dodson section, was a member of a highly esteemed and well-known family.
